چکیده
AIM: To investigate the effect of Cionni-modified capsular tension ring (CTR) implantation in patients with severely traumatic subluxated cataracts. METHODS: All who totally had cataracts and lost zonule support underwent cataract surgery were retrospectively analyzed. Corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), extent zonulysis, intraocular lens (IOL) position, intraoperative presentation, complications assessed. The primary outcomes included IOL centration stability other postoperative complications. RESULTS: Twenty (20 eyes) this study. mean age study was 58.0±11.3y, average follow-up time 17.3±12.8mo. Capsule bags saved by CTR. Nine eyes (45%) simultaneously anterior vitrectomy due to presence vitreous chamber. preoperative CDVA 0.83±0.24 logMAR, 0.23±0.30 logMAR (P<0.05). horizontal vertical decentration after 0.27±0.12 mm 0.41±0.19 mm, respectively; tilt 5.5°±2.5° 6.1°±2.2°, respectively. None obvious during time. Eight (40%) posterior capsule opacification (PCO) that severe enough cause poor vision. Neodymium: YAG laser capsulotomy performed on these when CTR stabilized. CONCLUSION: With help CTR, bag preservation better concentration can be achieved without major

Cionni-modified capsular tension ring for surgical repair of cyclodialysis after trabeculectomy: a case report
BACKGROUND To report a case for repair of cyclodialysis after trabeculectomy with Cionni-modified capsular tension ring. CASE PRESENTATION A 64-year-old man who had undergone trabeculectomy of his left eye 3 months earlier visited our clinic owing to blurred vision. His visual acuity was 20/2000 and the intraocular pressure (IOP) was 6 mmHg. Slit-lamp examination showed a shallow anterior cha...

A 46-year-old woman with moderate lens subluxation and Marfan ́s syndrome underwent a phacoemulsification on the right eye with a sutureless Henderson Capsular Tension Ring (HCTR) implantation. The surgical procedure and the postoperative follow up period were uneventful, with a best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of 0 (LogMAR). Seven months after surgery the patient presented an inferomedial di...

Purpose: To report the formation of the continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis (CCC) window in cases of intraocular lens (IOL)–Capsular Tension Ring (CTR) complex dislocation, determine appropriate indications for using CTRs, and evaluate surgical techniques for repositioning of the dislocated IOL–CTR complex. Methods: Four consecutive patients who underwent IOL repositioning surgery for IOL–CTR ...
متن کاملSurgical management of spontaneous in-the-bag intraocular lens and capsular tension ring complex dislocation
We describe a technique to manage late spontaneous intraocular lens (IOL) and capsular tension ring (CTR) dislocation within the intact capsular bag. The subluxated IOL and CTR complex can be positioned in a closed chamber and fixed to the pars plana at both 3 and 9 o'clock quadrants with the presented ab externo direct scleral suturation technique which provides an easy, safe and effective sur...

Purpose: To determine the outcomes of implantation of a modified Capsular Tension Ring (CTR) and a Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lens (PCIOL) in patients with subluxated lens secondary to Marfan Syndrome (MFS). Materials and methods: A total of 21 eyes of 12 patients with subluxated lens secondary to MFS undergoing Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lens (PCIOL) from March 2004 to February 2005 were...
